Welder Selection

Hi All,I am in the process of shopping for a welder. I am going to use thisfor a custom motorcycle build. I will use this mostly for welding tabson the frame ranging from 1/16" to 3/8". I am a very novice welder(taken an after work welding class).I am looking for a quality machine that won't cause me to need a secondjob. I am looking at either a Miller or Lincoln 175 MIG unit. I havebeen getting confused reading spec sheets. Will a 175 be enough for thethickness of material I will be welding? Can I go with less to savesome bucks?Also, can a MIG welder be used for sheet metal work?Thanks in advance for your help!!!! Rich

Lincoln MIGs have a nicer arc. Millers have beefier wire feeders.
