What I do when I am not welding

Kitchen remodel is 95% done. Had family and guests last night, and it was wonderful. Coming back this morning for omelets after going Dec. 26th shopping.

Wow! I'm actually kinda scared to go tearing into projects like that. Congratulations on a beautiful job.

I can't wait for a cellulose filler wood rod to come out so I can weld the joints together and build up all the boards I cut too short....

There is a machine called a "Wood Welder". It is an industrial hot melt glue gun that feeds from a heated pressure pot. They are used to assemble furniture and wood frame windows in factories.

That's cool! Now if it works well on end-grain, I'd have it made. No more of the infamous, " I cut it twice and it's still too short!"

I love well-crafted wood products but I fear I may never develop the skills to make my own. I'm much more familiar with heavy steel, cutting torches, and welding gear than with the myriad different varieties of woods, joinery, saws and such.

I have gotten some woodworking tools and am looking forward to building several things this spring. They were very useful during this recent remodel. There's quite a bit of difference between wood and metal, then a lot of the things are the same.
