Where to get CK tig torches?

I've been to CKWorldwide web site... If I click on pricing a page comes up asking for name and password.... the product pages don't have prices or a way to order online or am I missing something?????

Where the people of this group get their CK products? Please

I understand that you cannot order direct from CK, you have to go through one of their distributors. My local welding shop can order whatever I want from CK.

I guess I'll have to leave the cave and go find a dealer to order from... thanks for the reply.

Hello Jack,

Ernie suggested Central Welding Supply to me for CK Worldwide. There home office is in Lynnwood, Washington. See

They also have an internet sales division that can be reached at

These folks have been great for me since I'm in a rural area (population 200) and 40 minutes by car to nearest town.

If you know all the specifics for the torch you want I would contact them directly. If not give CK a call at 800-426-0877 and get your part numbers from them, then give the folks at Central a call.

Take note that the CK torch hoses use true CGA connections on their hoses and are not the "B" style.

I've got all the part #'s, just was having a difficult time finding them online. I'll give them a call.

I just got a Syncrowave 180SD, how do you like yours?

Thanks again, Jack

Relay David. Soon Miller will have a 180DX with a pulser to compete with Lincoln's Precisiontig 185. Then everybody can lust for a new machine.

I'm sorry David, I'l shut up now about the new welder.. I'm like a kid in a candy store.. ( I love toys )

I read your review on the CK remote amp control... looks to be just what I need. How much does it cost? I've been looking at the Miller unit with the rotary thumb wheel... it cost $175.00 Ck also makes one that is mounted in the handle which looks pretty kool.

Thanks for your responses to my newbie ?'s. Jack

P.S. I'm a 20 + year machinist and I must say this tig welding is harder then it looks to make pretty welds.

Well Jack, how come I don't believe you'll shut up about the new welder? (Addict behaviour is so predictable!)

Interesting that you are a machinist. I said to my wife just two days ago that I sure could use a metal lathe. I love toys, er, tools to build stuff for around the house too.

I did not know Miller had a rotary unit. I thought CKW's was the only one out there. I cannot recall how much I paid for the CKW unit. The price would be out of whack now anyway because the exchange rate between the US and Canadian dollar has changed so much since I made my purchase. I got mine mail order from Central Supply in Seattle. (As gets mentioned here with some frequency: good company.) Let us know what price you get, I would be interested to know.

For me, the attach-with-velcro was the choice since I could mount it onto another torch (if I ever needed another torch like, say, a flex head etc.)

This is a supurb group, eh.

Yep. That's why I like tig welding. The challenge is just what the doctor ordered.

ok, you're right!

I'm looking to buy a knee mill and lathe sometime during this next year.

miller makes 2 rotaty types ( up/down or left/right )

very good point... velcro sounds like the way to go.

yes it is

Can it compete with a Thermal Arc 185?

Thanks

No, my recomendation still stands that the Thermal 185 is the better bargain.

I just bought the rotary hand control for my invertig from HTP it was $150 USD plus freight . It was the Velcro model with the three plastic handle options shown on the CK site. CK makes the HTP control, HTP will sell controls for all of the other machines as well. Drop Steve or Jeff a note they respond quickly and their shipping is very fast.

Thanks Brad,

The nice people at CK Worldwide hooked me up with a dealer near home. I got a CK 110 pencil torch, standard gas front end kit w/pyrex, and a rotary amp control w/ velcro straps.
