Astro Hog almost finished

I posted 3 photos of the covered model to alt.binaries.radio-control this morning.

I think it looks really good. I'm anxious to see it in the air.

That looks great.

Per your comments about the landing gear, it's fine as it is. I originally built my Astro-Hog with the landing gear mounted ahead of the wing. As it was, I could never get it to land with out bouncing - no matter how smoothly I tried to bring her in. I finally put the gear back in the wing as per the plans. Now she sticks like a magnet on landings. If fact, it does great touch and goes. Let us know how she flies.

It looks great! The landing gear won't be a problem where it is if you fly off a smooth surface. If it is grass however.... If you have a problem, you can do what I ended up doing. I got some longer gear and bent it forward so the wheels are just behind the LE of the wing. Works great and it makes me be more careful with my landings as the swept forward gear can make for a bouncy landing if done too hard. The plane lands like a dream though, so greasing it in is not a problem.
