Did you see the super review of Nigel Lacey's Aztec in Model World. This is a model designed and kitted by a fellow club member.
It hearkens back to the days when your latest model was not the latest ARTF to come from the Far East.
There's not that many places where you can phone up for chat with the actual designer of the plane who knows the product inside out. The wood and all the fittings are excellent quality. All the kits are compiled by hand.
There's also not many places that will supply a fuzz kit or wing kit if you want one.
I have no financial axe to grind with this blatant advert but Nigel is a good bloke and a really good modeller and the product is great. It would be good for you blokes to consider supporting a British kit designer. Have a look at
