Knife Edge Software, the developers of RealFlight, is looking for a full time 3D artist.

This is a dream job in a dream location. Build 3D models of R/C airplanes using 3D Studio, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Corvallis, Oregon area, and enjoy the many R/C-related fringe benefits the company offers.

Applicants should be proficient with 3D Studio and enthusiastic about R/C.

Why are you paying? I am sure loads of people would do it for free...

Why not have a competion online, for best rendered aircraft, and take the top three guys on as part time working from home wireframe renderers.

And give em all a free REAL model plane.

Depending on what you're looking for, there is a large library of aircraft and helicopters in 3D Studio format at

They're high poly, which probably isn't the best for a simulator, but at the least they'd be good guides, and the textures would probably work well.

Yup. They all say that. Its the old 'gotta see em clock in and out' bit isn't it?

When I ran my business, I had two sorts of employees, Those the managers loved cos they were always happy, always smiling, always busy.

And the ones I liked. Bad tempered, miserable stresed out pony tailed jerks. Always in late, or working at home, or just didn't pitch at all after a full night on the console.. But boy, they produced 90% of what ACTUALLY worked in the place. I loved em.
