MINI-FLEDGLING

I reduced the big Fledgling plans to 3/4 size and did my own version a while back. You could go that way if nobody else offers the actual plans. I'll make you a copy at whetever Kinko's charges plus mailing if you want.

Yes.

Seriously, TurboCAD v11 will do raster-to-vector conversion as a native function. If you're using an earlier or free version, then try the freeware version of WinTopo

I converted this to a full house with throttled carb for 1/2a pylon racing - extra large fuel tank and all. Won a few trophies with this model as a result back in the mid 1970s. What a lovely project.

I reduced the standard Fledgling plans 20%, made it a taildragger, and used conventional instead of strip ailerons. Only one mistake: I took off on high aileron rate, and rolled it into the ground on the first turn. DUMB!!! I've not yet finished rebuilding the destroyed wing. I'll use half as much throw when I do!!!

I powered it with an Irvine .25, which was plenty of power. My full-sized Fledgling was my first four channel plane, built about
