my engines leaking and i don't know why!!!

i have a small cox engine that came with the nomad, a free flight "ufo" kit, that runs on a gas engine. i don't know much about these engines or how to fix them but i have fuel leaking out of a small gray plastic pipe running parallel to the cylindar head, opposite of the drive shaft, which i am asuming to be the exhaust pipe. there may also be a small leak in the feul tank. can anybody tell me whats going on, and how to fix it?

I haven't played with Cox engines for many, many years, so take this advice with a grain of salt.

I seem to remember that there were gaskets between the tank and the crankcase. You might see whether a gasket set is available for the engine. You might try using red silicone high-temp RTV sealer to improve the seal between the tank and the crankcase and the crankcase and the muffler.

When I was a kid, I got to be pretty good at starting Cox engines. I remember them with affection and respect.

Good luck!

If it happens to be the exhaust (I'm not saying that it is,...but "if") , ignore it, "glow engines" all spit a certain amount of unburned fuel out the exhaust, espeacially if you run it too rich.

As for the rest of it, take Martin's advice.
