Except for the name calling Dr1 has it right. Not all illegals are commiting crimes, but having commited a crime to enter our country they have few qualms in commiting other crimes. They do pay sales tax, but the socialist democrats are giving them more and more free services and make it against the law to ask if they are illegal.

Yes but most of our teenagers don't act like that. The typical Mexican "wetback" adult does. It has nothing to do with race. The legal aliens, and visitors from Mexico are nothing like this.

Freedom of speech is a widely misunderstood concept... In Norway, we have freedom of speech, like most industrial and democratic countries of course. I've noticed that Americans are the only ones to feel that it's something special. I take Freedom of speech for granted, like I take air for granted. BUT, you are wrong if you say that you can say "all you want" You can't say "I'm gonna kill you" or similar things... And I hope the second amendment doesn't approve of racist remarks. In Norway, it takes a LOT to be convicted of such a thing, but society has its limit of tolerance. If freedom of speech was ABSOLUTE, it wouldn't always be a good thing.

Its about as stupid as syaing that someone who has committed the crime of littering, will have no compunction about becoming a serial murderer.

It has everything to do with income levels, and the social alienation that comes with being in a place where people pay you next to nothing, yell at you to go home, and drive bigger cars than you, live in better houses, and sure as heck don't want you to have any part of it.

THANK YOU!!! That's all I'm getting at. He used terms that are unfit in a newsgroup, or in any public forum for that matter. You also say he's basically right (except for the name calling). That may be so, but that is the whole point. It doesn't belong in a thread about Mexican frequencies! If I post the same question, asking for frequencies in Cuba or China, I couldn't care less about what people think about the politial situation in those countries. Or if you have a Cuban neighbour that doesn't wash the stairs when he should...

I wont deny that some ethnic groups are more prone to throwing beercans around than others. But jhead's post simplified things a tad too much. Which would you choose? a) a Mexican legal family with steady income. Nice people involved in the community and church.

b) A white family where the husbond drinks every day, and frequently beats his wife and kids. And urinates on a regular basis on YOUR lawn I bet 10 out of 10 would choose the Mexican.

Not a good comparison you see... :-)

I doubt that when the economic benefits of the cheap labor are factored in, we should be GLAD that someone is willing to do the work for those wages. How would you like to spend another 50-100% for the products they produce (which is nearly everything)?

BS. I and a large group frequently were guests of a large club just over the border from Arizona. Theri models and level of expertice were in every way equal to what we were doing.

In the US, freedom of speech has some very well defined limits. Most people are aware of slander and libel limitations. Most people are aware that shouting "FIRE" in a crowded room (when there is no fire) is not protected free speech.

We have a park here that we used to go on weekends for picnics. Beautiful place, ponds, shade etc. We hadn't been there for a number of years so we scheduled it for a family get together. Big mistake. When we arrived we were struck by a combination of trash.and loud Mexican music. We waited long enough for everyone in our party to arrive, then left. The real tragic part of this story is that it has become common place.

Driving home from work on evening, for about three miles I noticed a lot of Taco Time taco wrappers flying around. I didn't think much about it until I pulled up behind an old Chevy full of Mexicans. (They were driving their usual 20 MPH under the speed limit) Every couple of seconds, another taco wrapper would come flying out. I passed them to avoid the trash. Once again, this has become so common place that it is hardly noticed.

The city has been having a big fourth of July picnic at the local fair grounds for a number of years. This includes raising the flag and a fireworks display. A few years ago, they did the flag raising, had a band perform the Star Spangled Banner, then they did it again, this time singing the Star Spangled Banner in Spanish. Pissed off a lot of people, epically veterans.

One kind of wood don't float.. Natalie.
