Sportsman Aviation Waco 60

Saw one of these in my LHS and fell in love. Always thought Wacos were cool. Anybody built this one? There's a thread on RCU that says the gear isn't very strong and is prone to tearing off and bending.

Morris, I have flown several of the Global ARF's and several other brands, but yet to try the Sportman's Models, but with all aircraft of the ARF type, the landing gear is usually found to be lightly built and not reinforced enought for hard landings. I always add triangle shock and addition CA and baking soda to the areas that will be stressed by hard landings. Hard landings is usually the cause of these incidence where the landing gear seems to be removed prematurely. Remember this is the area of the airplane that takes the most abuse in normal usage, even after regular landings the gear will become loose and needs to be realigned and tighten.

Thanks, Flying Fokker. They've also said the gear is easily bent, so I might beef it up with some music wire on the bottom. I might look around and see if anyone out there has a 1/6th scale Pica kit left over, too.
