Tight ball links

It seems that all the ball links I buy are always way too tight. I end up locking them in my drill press and dressing them with emery cloth before I can use them. Any one else have this problem? What is your approach? Gord Schindler MAAC6694

From the heli community there are three approaches.

(1) Buy a ball link sizer like this one

(2) Mount a ball in a dremal tool. Hold the link and let the ball turn for a couple of seconds.

(3) With the ball in the link, gently squeeze the sides of the link with pliers

I use the Dubro lilnks (one-piece) with good luck. I have found a couple that were a little stiff, however, the majority are fine. MK also makes some good ball links.
