A while back, I mentioned that I had purchased a U-Can-Do electric foam model plane. I had commented that I wasn't going to buy special servos for it, thinking that my five or so year old Hitec HS-80's would be small enough. I was wrong. Those things are gigantic compared to what is necessary.
Well, I broke down and followed Jim's advice and ordered some tiny servos (Cirrus CS-6.5). They just got here and I opened the box. These are truly tiny. In fact, they almost look like a joke item, to an old timer such as me.
I followed the instruction recommendations and ordered 9G or smaller (whatever that stands for - weight - I think) from Hobby People. I am a cheapskate most of the time, so I ordered their $9.99 (approximate) servos for this project. If they are not suitable, I'll just buy the right ones next time. But I am glad that I bought these anyway. I can think of a million applications for them. Especially, non R/C applications.
Neat.
