I haven't tried any of these engines, so I can't really comment on them :)

However, I can say that the Tower 0.61 and the Tower 0.75 engines are the same size -- it's just that the piston is a bit larger in the 0.75

-- and so the 0.75 actually weighs less.

I do have a Tower 0.75 and it's been a fine engine. I'd suggest spending the extra $10 and getting a 0.75 instead of the 0.61, even if you don't really need the extra power.

If you're familiar with the Fox and are willing to take the time to break it in right, you can't hardly beat it.

Bear in mind I have had much luck in getting Fox engines to work well, where others in the club have not, so don't discount them.

I want decent user friendly, but great power.

Tower engine - excellent power, but MOST tower engines do not want to shut off with the transmitter and SOME experience idle/transition problems. The Tower engines I have had all had an excellent idle/transition. FWIW - If you decide to get the Tower engine, spend the extra $10 and get the 75. GMS makes the engines for Tower, BUT, the Tower engines have a different carb.

TT61 - very good to excellent power. Extremely user friendly with very good idle and transition. Just a shade less power than the Tower.

Fox - last experience I had with them was back in my U/C days. I threw my Fox 35 in the garbage. It would not idle and consistantly died on ANY manuver. Tried everything to fix it (fuel, glo plug, prop, tank brand and location, etc) with no luck.

I would also suggest looking at the GMS line of engines.

I'll second the GMS .75. It is a ringed engine so it takes a little longer for break in. They usually will idle great right out of the box.
