I want to test drive ver. 2006 but ver. 2000 is currently on machine, am I asking for trouble having both? If I like 2006, I'll drop 2000 (uninstall) but I want to test drive it (2006) first.

I'm pretty sure this will work. I think the multi-version install problems were limited to 2000/2000i/2002.
Separate of that issue, when you uninstall 2006, you will most likely need to run a repair (or re-install) your 2000.
Just a note here. Thanx 4 the info all. I went ahead & put 2006 w/2000 and all is fine. Except 2006 "requires" IE6/w SP1.......BLEH!
I'm feelin 'packed' between MS & AD...........

A network deployment can be configured to allow installation without IE6/SP1
