Unless your loaded, the best way to learn 3d max is from videos. If you
want a complete set which will take you through various skills up to an
intermediate level go and buy the set from www.lynda.com. For free ones,
go to here
www.3d-palace.com (if you donate you get access to more)
also learn everything on this page, its essential imo!!
good luck, it can be daunting learning a new package from scratch
especially ones that can do as much as 3d max. Google is your friend,
there seems to be more info on 3d max than any other 3d program on the
net, especially tutorials.
