Anyone used EMI-inc for Bridgeport?

Expensive parts!

Not the most straight forward Bridgeport parts supplier I have ever dealt with.

They never did much with improving / finishing DX/32 software.

Try Practical Machinist for a second opinion.

Perhaps you wanted Cliffy's worthless, uniformed opinion / comments?

Perhaps you should start caring who gives you info, Tom.

Getting info from someone who has no experience with a DX/32 control (Cliff) could be very expensive.

Sorry Jon, geez... I thought you were joking. I know a little about DX 32 myself, having installed quite a few of them. I was at BPT in Cn. the day the Software people got the axe.

I was installing a 3 axis Trak in 2000 or 2001when just as I was about to leave it began to crosstalk in the axis.

I told the service manager and he replied "did they see it?" I said "no" then he said leave.

How do you deal with that kind of attitude?

You never stop believing in yourself and you move on. It's a very common attitude in the machining business.

The canned cycles in the DX 32 are pure garbage. The canned cycles in the DX /32 are half finished alpha software. Not even beta software.

Any idea if one can still buy EZ SPS and if so how much is it? The machines I used did not have the EZ SPS option installed so I had to use the crappy canned cycles in the DX/32 if I wanted to program at the control.
