PLC Programming/ Contract/ Indy Area

Buzz words: =93PLC Programming=94 =93CAN-Bus=94 and Allen Bradley structured text programming language on contrologic or compactlogix hardware platforms.

We have a need for a software engineer who has solid PLC (programmable logic controllers) experience. This is a March start. It is a six month contract located a few miles North of Indianapolis, Indiana. There is a possibility that after the first month a portion of the work could be done remote. There is NO expense money so local and regional candidates are preferred.

Initially one will be developing some =93core competency=94 instead of commodity low level drivers. It would be preferable if the person hired had experience in the =93non automotive=94 industrial controls. Power grid or utilities experience would be ideal.

If interested and qualified, email resume to snipped-for-privacy@bex.net.

Job Description: PCL=92s will control a series of 3 large battery packs that are all linked together and allow cell towers to continue to operate after a power outage. These are large complex commercial grade batteries and there are several batteries within each of the three separate packs. Communication is done over CAN and over Cat5 ethernet. Controlling things like the power moving between each battery as well as the three packs of batteries. Charge life, etc, just about anything you can think of that you would want to know about or control in a battery.
