60 hz motor question

You have to be careful that the light bulbs aren't mixed up. I once heard of when someone connected a 60 Hz light bulb to 50 Hz power, and they blew a transformer. The whole street went dark.

The original poster said the motors were to be exported to Afghanistan, but that doesn't make too much sense since Afghanistan is apparently

50 Hz. Not for the US military there unless they could predict the future in 1996.
