fuses

can anyone help please. is a fuse a conductor or insulator of electricity. i say a conductor and my friend an insulator.

It all depends on the state of the fuse. Normally it is a conductor (how the heck do you think the electricity gets to the other side?), but when it blows, it is no longer a conductor.

A fuse is just the smallest conductor in a circuit so if something overheats and blows open it is the fuse.
