I'm looking for a weatherproof metal ( or UL94 5V flame retardand plastic) box with field wiring terminals to allow "permanently connected equipment" to be connected to building supply
the installation will have to comply with the US NEC.

Terminals in side the box requires a different U.L. listing than just a box.
Field installed terminals make the install easier unless your in a jurisdiction that is picky.
