Places to sell fuses?

I have several thousand dollars worth of fuses, mostly 250V and 600V fuses, of various classes, ratings, etc. All are new, surplus fuses from a company that closed out a division. I advertised them on Ebay, but only a few sold.

An example is a case of 100 REN 60amp 250V super-lag renewable Buss fuses that retails for over $1400 in Grainger. Surely they would be worth 1/3 of that price to somebody, but I haven't found that person yet.

Can anyone recommend where to advertise these?

Thanks in advance, Adam Barker

REN...... I have not used those for 20 years. If I remember correctly they are renewable by replacing the link inside the holder, a lot like meduim voltage fuses. Our local AHJ (authority having juristiction) will not let you use RENs any more, they claim they do not meet the fault current requirements. It is not worth the effort to argue with them.

There are lots of electrical periodicals, EC&M for example. Try there, and start looking for some used equipment dealers.

I had 6 4000 amp FRN-R's for 5 years, finally found someone putting in a new section that needed that exact fuse. Got $300 for all 6. Good luck

ebay? You should try again. You have to be pushy and come up with gimicks to make people want to buy. Get the hype up. Everyday, post a message here until people get sick of you and buy them.

Maybe you tried to sell too many at once. The market can only absorb just so many at a time. Try again every 3 to 5 weeks.

That person probably hasn't checked EBAY lately. But I do see a lot of stuff repeatedly offered on EBAY that clearly isn't selling.

Worth and current need are very different things. You have two potential kinds of buyers. One who needs them reasonably soon because they are now running on the spares because the previous ones blew. These buys would pay good, but not outrageous, prices. The other is people who want to stock them, like electrical contactors. These guys already get them cheap in places, so you won't get as much for them from this market, but if you want to sell fast and give them a discount, these are your buyers.
