Dear Snowyman, Design in mech engg is a multi disciplinary area. To be a good designer one must be
thorough with the materials, Forces of nature, fundas in mechanics, statics, dynamics
and good common sense. A practical knowledge of machines, tools, shop floor
experience will come handy! Regards!
