how to remove redundant constraint while doing mechanism simulation with I-DEAS

HI I am new to ADAMS.I am trying to simulate one mechanism of simple punching machine having cam-cam motion in I-DEAS 11NX.In order to get the dynamic simulation ,system ask for atleast one degree of freedom apart from intended motion(degree of freedom) already there.this fact i m not clear plz if anyone can help me.another issue is that while introducing cam-cam motion one redundant constraint comes always . so the result i m getting may not be the reliable one. if anyone can help me the ways to remove those redundant constraint and if it has to be there then how can we sure of the result looking for reply
