Burke #4 Milling machine overhead dimensions?

Could anyone tell me the distance from the center line of the overhead shaft/support/bar/rod to the centerline of the milling spindle?

What is the diameter of the overhead shaft/support/bar/rod?

Thanks in advance.

A bit hard to measure directly, but indirectly, the center-to-center measurement I get is 4.25" (actually, 4.248) so I guess it should be a nominal 4.25.

2.000"

Missing the arbor support? Thats pretty common. One of mine was MIA as well.

So I used a piece of pipe as an arbor support, Cant remember the diameter..pretty common size.. and made a blank arbor support out of 1" aluminum plate. Then I simply stuck a drill bit in a tool holder and pushed the blank arbor support into the spinning drill bit. That finds center really really well

Removed, drilled and bushed with bronze bearing. I later filled the pipe (over arm) with concrete. Ya never noticed that it wasnt solid steel.
