It is also interesting to note that the population has increased almost 10% but the number of employed has only gone up about 3%.
27,000,000 vs 1,000,000. I wouldn't call that sucess.

It all depends on what you WANT to believe.
"Gainfully" is another gotcha. More may be employed, but a higher percentage of them are in low end jobs with non-livable wages. It's only going to get worse since the damage to the economy has consistently occurred under administrations left and right for decades.

Wages have actually gone up significantly and at a rate of about double that of inflation,
