Forrest Service can no longer use fire slurry on forest fires

You got to be kidding me!! Sounds like "let it burn, it is nature's way" -lite!

?The change is opposed by several Western Republican lawmakers, who say it will significantly hamper efforts to contain fires, and elevates the welfare of animals and fish above people and property. [Their] Nov. 10 letter pre-addressed the decision, but a spokesman for Gallegly said their concerns still stand. California Republican Reps. Dan Lungren?, Duncan Hunter?, Jerry Lewis?, Gary Miller?, Jeff Denham? and Jeff Flake of Arizona also signed the letter.

Due to a lawsuit against the Forest Service, Environmentalists have eliminated the Forest Service from using "fire retardant slurry drops" onto the National forest to stop fires!!!!

I don't know if they are now even allowed to drop just water at this time, as that would not be much help battling fires in this State.

Can you imagine the fire we just had near Springerville, without being able to drop slurry on it, slowing it down and also protecting buildings ?

Wait until they outlaw fire extinguishers because they contain the deadly greenhouse gas and fire retardant CO2.

And make you drink flat beer for the same reason.

Off they go again, in all directions at once, looking for some conspiracy to complain about, and from which to make some political hay.

Read the darned decision, Ray. When you see what it says, you'll realize that you're in cloud-cuckooland, once again. The same goes for Chris.
