JC-2 collet

Has anybody heard of a JC-2 collet? The collet looks exactly like a 5C or 2J collet on steroids. Bearing diameter is 2.875" and length is 5.47".

"The Kid" seen what he thought was a 2J collet fixture at an on-line auction and bought it for me. Its an air solenoid closer that can be mounted diretly on the mill table or on an included right angle plate. Cool unit but I only have a few collets.

Machinery handbook don't list it, Google had 0 hits. Nothing on EBay.

I thought I'd take a quick look, using "JC 2"+collet* (exactly as shown) for the search term. Apparently, Hardinge knows what they are, and although I don't see 'em shown, they offer some sort of tooling accessory

This other search result was for an auction listing that included a pneumatic collet chuck, list item number 13

Both of these results reference the name Mead (Mead-Chicago) as if the type of collet was/is recognized in the industry as being made by Mead, so that may give you a little more to go on.
