You're one paranoid SOB, clare. Why, I'll bet you buy insurance, too.

They do now. After releasing (but NOT deporting) all those goddamned illegal alien criminals.
It's -not- nutcases, clare, it's us normal people who are becoming afraid of our government. If Obamunism topples the gov't, we have to defend ourselves.
Wouldn't you be slightly afraid if your own gov't got its ass $17T in debt and started banning and confiscating the few guns you have left?
Question: In addition to the above, do you see anything wrong with the DHS ordering a couple billion rounds of ammo, purchasing millions of body bags and coffins, and ordering 2,700 light tanks for itself? As far as I know, Mexico and Canada aren't planning an invasion in the near future. (Well, as far as Mexico goes, no _further_ large-scale invasions.)
Had you thought my statement through, you might have come to a different conclusion about what certain events may, um, trigger. I'll wait for your brain to catch up.
Here, wake up, and stop getting your "news" from "Modern Survival Blog" and the gazillion paranoid nutcases who believe them:
No more than I need.
That is a real big IF. I think the whole works of you are PARANOID.
They are not banning and confiscating your 22 rifles and your shotguns. They are talking about regulating your guns and requiring a licence to buy/own a gun, and taking full automatic and "assault" (whatever that means) guns off the market and off the street.
And your "government" got it's ass deep in debt by fighting loosing battles and not raising taxes. "the people" demand the government defend them from "communism"(viet nam) and"islam" (current conflicts) but also demand "the government" do it without raising taxes.
Guess what??? You can't have it both ways. And you want jobs - manufacturing the things you buy in your own country - but don't want to pay what it takes to buy American made goods if Americans are paid a fair wage - so the jobs go overseas - but you complain when "the government" bails out part of the only major consumer goods manufacturing business left in the USA - your automotive industry.
You complain the government has no business in the "business" of USA - so your banks are basically unregulated ruffians that lie, steel and cheat - yet you would be in much worse condition if you allowed your banks to fail - so the government HAS to bail them out - but your "people" will not allow the government to dictate what the bail-out money is used for, th the lying, cheating thieves that have been running your banks just take that money, the same as they have taken all the semi-legitimate profits in years past..
You get the government you deseve.
Same goes up here. We've got an egomaniac prime minister and an idiot premier in Ontario - and Toronto has an imbecile for a mayor. Who's fault is it??? Not "the government" - It's our fault for electing them
- and more than once - and for not providing a viable alternative.
You don't like what Obama is doing??? Come up with an alternative that will work, and a man or woman with the guts, grit, and gumption to make it work that can satisfy both sides of your political and social dichotemy and get him/her elected.
Problem is, that person does not exist, and if he does he's too smart to get involved in what he knows from history is a loosing proposition.
So we end up with Harper and McGimpy, and Toronto gets saddled with "the Ford Brothers" comedy team.
Nope. Full 2 story house - with city water and a hose. Vast majority of houe fires need a lot more than a handheld extinguisher. Heck, most CAR fires a hand held extinguisher isn't going to do much. Hose is more effective unless it's flammable liquid - and I don't deep fry.
I use 1k/mo., sometimes more.
Ha!. That sounds like the end of the Roman and Czarist empires when no qualified leaders could be found.
The Oregon legislators just put up a bill which would remove all weapons from my ownership. Either from looking like an assault weapon or for having more than 7 rounds in a mag. All I can say is "cold, dead hands."
Too many "o"s in "losing", dude.
The sheeple don't demand that, until scared into it by the idiots in the media. Yeah, things are certainly broken here. When I'm King, I'll overhaul the gov't (taking money out of it), outlaw unions and maybe lawyers, etc. ;) I'll also downsize the gov't by about 75% to bring it in line with our actual needs.
Some of us can't afford to pay "fair" wages, since the meaning of "fair" to a Union bastard is $50/hr for sweeping the floor, and wages go up from there. I'd love to see wage ceilings for CEOs, despite how un-Libertarian that is.
It hurts to agree with that, but I do.
Exactly. Anyone who wants to go into politics should be allowed to get involved.
You never answered my question.
Like an old, dead liberal who had turned to Dust? You know, one of those old silent movie horror film stars. ;-)
The taxes would prevent the government from bein so far in debt - which is why I mentioned taxes. Americans have historically been against taxes - right back to the "original" "tea party".
Actually they were not "making" $80 per hour. The cost of employing some approached that level with all the"benefits". And no, whatever they were being paid was not a "fair" wage when compared to a South Carolina waitress making $2.13 per hour.
A "fair wage" depends a lot on the cost of living - in Canada I'd say a "fair wage" for a skilled and educated worker is $40 per hour. For an untrained but experienced worker, 20+, and for menial labour $12 more or less.
Since our cost of living, including taxation is higher than in the USA, I'd say 30, 15, and 9 would be "fair" in the USA. And there should be a limit on CEO compensation, and a very clear policy towards bonuses that ties them to ACTUAL performance.
Your definition of "regulation" differs from the rest of the world.
You have had lots of "alleged" voter fraud. There have been alegations in Canada too
Who does he need to work with????? You say there are plenty? Get them all involved and they don't need to deel or work with anyone else.
It's all a question of proportion, and how you handle it. There has never been an assasination of a sitting Canadian leader in Canadian history.
You really need to read history. The original "Tea Party" destroyed tax paid tea, that because of a change in the English tax laws, was to be sold at a lower price than illegal, smuggled, tea brought in by rich American ship owners.
The "Indians" were simply protecting their employers right to smuggle tea and sell it at a high price.

What sane person thinks they need more than 100 rounds of ammunition on hand????
So now a bureaucratic civil service paper pusher that knows nothing about firearms is now qualified to judge an applicant's sanity.
This is exactly the reason all gun laws are opposed. Why should I have to kiss the ass of some retard power crazed clerk to be able to buy or own more than 100 rounds?
To see where this leads, follow the abuses by the TSA groping/abusing our vets, cripples and little kids and stealing their toys.
No air traffic controllers - aka - no radar in a region - so the little spy planes have free run without oversight.
Guess I'll have to design a anti-aircraft with radar assist for my homeland defense program. ;-)

Great idea, Martin. That will make a good target for their ARM missiles. You'll be making it easy on them. d8-)
What compulsive control freak brands you insane for demanding your constitutionally-guaranteed civil rights?
Very well written. I'm feeling the cold wind, the fascist take over is well underway. We've got parallels to Germany in the 1930s. I think we're past the stage where writing your congressman does much good.
