I mentioned earlier that Harbor Freight store gave me a wrong box with a wrong drill press, somehow. I paid for what I got, fortunately. I was upset that it was only 1/3HP motor.

I decided to make the part I wanted to make, before returning. I found out that the DP is sufficiently powerful to easily drill 1/2" holes in rolled stock. The problem with the drill getting stuck in the metal turned out to be due to poor adherence of the spindle to the taper. (?) A few gentle blows with a hammer solved the problem.I am starting to have doubts whether returning it at all makes sense. Any thoughts?
Started to have thoughts about "tricking out" this drill press. Adding a light to it and some attachment to hold the vacuum hose from a vacuum cleaner.
