Paper shredders for the office

Anyone here use or know of a good paper shredder? I'm looking toreplace my Executive machines model that died, (it was a long slowdeath). I checked it out and the plastic spacers that keep the knivesapart are broken/gone, the knives now bind up and overload themachine. I did consider machining some aluminum spacers andrebuilding the whole thing but I don't think it's worth it.I want cross cut, at least 8 sheet capacity, and BIG!! By that Imean a good sized basket underneath. Every shredder I look at nowhas the basket built in and safety locked. But the baskets are small!I shred EVERYTHING, not just the important stuff, gives thiefs about900% more to look through and peice back together. I would love amachine that is about 30-36 inches tall VS the 18-20" that i'mseeing. Hell 40-48" would be OK, I can still reach it from my deskchair.I did find tall models like this but they were over $1000.00Thank You,RandyRemove 333 from email address to reply.

Sounds like a learning moment. Since you can be caught out longer than you think .... needs more supplies than you've been packing along?

How much is enough? One time in ten years I ran short, but there were about 75 restaurants within reasonable distance. My legs start to give out about a half hour before I am in trouble. I spent 15 of those waiting and being ignored. I went somewhere else, and had food within three minutes of leaving.

I keep at least one month's worth of food at the house since I've been stranded at home for several weeks, at times.
