somebody got a GREAT deal -- Prazi SD400 -- $150

Did anyone else see the ad last night on the Bay Area Craigslist from some guy in Mountain View selling a Prazi SD400 for the princely sum of $150? It was posted about 10:30 pm, I saw it about 15 minutes later, but I was never able to get through to the guy by phone or email. Too bad -- the ad was still up this morning, but gone by mid-day.

If the price was for real, somebody made a real score! Supposedly in excellent condition with basic tooling.

I was ready to hop in the car and drive down there last night, but never got the chance! Sigh.

Regards,

Bob in SF

Kinda wish I looked at the Craig's list FREE section about a year ago. A friend a work did, and he saw "free machine tools, 3 lathes and a milling machine". Called the guy up. Turned out to be a busy engineer at a local plastics company who needed space - fast. Only requirement was bonded rigger had to be used to move equip. out. He wound up with a Hardinge HLV, with tooling, a Bridgeport 42" in excellent shape, an

18" turret lathe w/VFD drive, and a second operation lathe of some odd description. I think the rigging wound up costing 1500 delivered and in his garage. Still can't get him to sell me the Hardinge.

I once saw an ad in the Oakland tribune for a Hasselblad camera kit. Body, 2 lenses, 2 magazines - $150 or so. By the time I called, the lady selling it had wised up.
