Student Projects CNC

I am a teacher at a high school. We have a cnc machine that doesn't have very much power. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of different projects I could do with my students. Thanks.

What type/brand of machine and software do you have? Is there a tool changer? What is the controller software? Can it do 3D or only 2 1/2D ? The projects depend on the available tools. I use a Sherline 5400 CNC all day long commercially. This obviously is powerful, but it certainly is capable within its limits. RichD

What do you mean by not much power? Very little program memory or very little cutting power?

we have mastercam 10 to create programs. the machine is a redcam it's basically a small router mounted that runs by cnc I can put large sized projects on the bed, I think it was really designed more for wood. We can really only cut plastic, wood or with .0200 cuts aluminum. I mounted a vice and take small cuts but it works ok.
