wiring question

I have a schematic for a fan. black - line orange and red - ins. blue and white - line grn/yel - gnd

This is a fan that can be wired to run when the compressor kicks on or on all the time. My question is does anyone know what the ins. means or stands for?

Thanks. Rich

It's most likely meant to be interpreted as Insulate, as when the orange & red are to be spliced together, then insulated.
