Chinese scales

Hi, does anyone know a schematic or a replacement pcb source of cheap 150mm Chinese digital calipers? 0-button and pc-readout-port are not working. It still measures; display, Inch/mm and On/Off are ok too. Thanks, Dirk

The only cheap source is a complete caliper from Lidl or the like. *But* there are two different pitches of the comb hidden under the sticker of the caliper's beam. And they simply don't work with other PCBs.

Danke schön, Nick. Any suggestions as to the schematic of these scale pcb's? Dirk

Schematics!? Did you ever look at one? There's only one of those black blobs of Chinese $whatever, two capacitors, one X-tal and this it was. The buttons just shorten the clock- and data-line and one or two extra pins of the IC. Seriously, there's nothing to repair. You could only clean the carbon-contact of the buttons. You might have a look at my site (see sig.) for some details of how they work.

Too expensive! EUR 9.99 is OK. Tchibo, Lidl, Aldi are the usual suspects for those offers.
