Try my crucible supplier page :-)

I've used both H.S.Walsh and J.Winter off the list, with Walsh being a bit cheaper.

Any suggestions for suppliers for high temp investment in smallish (eg 5 or

10 kg) quantities?

Peter, can't help with 10kg but I picked up a 22.5kg bag of Pioneer Plus investment powder from Walsh ref TC045 about three years back.

It's currently priced at £20.82 inc VAT

Hello Dave,

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Visited the site and blow me if I didn't find something I'd been looking for for months. None of the so called specialist shops had a clue what I was talking about. I was starting to think I was imagining what I'd read in one of my hobby magazines. Ordered the part Tuesday, arrived this morning - exactly what I was looking for! A beading tool set with handle. And no, I'm not into beading, but one of my other hobbies, as if live steam isn't enough, is 1/72 and 1/35 plastic modelling, where the beading tools in the magazine article, where being used to simulate rivets and bolt heads. They look just like very, very, very small rivet snaps, and to give some idea of size, the largest is about1.2mm. Also bought their soldering mats/base/whatsits. Cheers
