See above; using the edge of a disc wheel gives concave faces, using the face to any great extent is not really safe.

Well I haven't started using the Clarkson yet (out of tuits) but I now have the parallel bore universal head (together with a few adapters) and much of the radius grinding attachment (down to the female dovetail but nothing below it). Does anyone have the rest of this attachment going spare? Or a drawing?

Somehow i think that my intentions to send how to do lathe tools is not needed. so you have the top of the radius attachment and I have the bottom end. A bit like the pantomime horse?
The bottom is actually an ungeared rotary table- on ball bearings but with a bracket to gain the angle. There are a pair of stops. mine has one.
I have your E-Mail add but will be away once again. Drop me a note of developments. I can certainly photograph my gubbins. I need the drawings of the inside tool holder bit with dias and thread sizes.

Thank you for the additional info. From the lathes.co uk photos, I would appear to have everything but the inside to the bracket bit. The tilting casting is there- minus its inside.
