Is there any way to block posts from this irritant? I know I should not post while angry, but I would gladly drop kick this particular oxygen thief off the nearest available cliff.

Pretty easy if you are using IE. Just open one of the messages, then go to 'Message' on the IE toolbar, then down to 'Block Sender', click Yes and it will block the sender and remove all the senders messages. Brad.
I wish there was. He has multiple posts in almost all the groups I have subscribed to and he keeps on getting through my kill files:-(
The German free News Server(datemas.de) that I use filters them out so I only see them if I look at Google Groups.
