Don't want anything but if you fancy a break M1 junctions 24 / 25 I'm about 3 miles off both.

John have often thought about giving you a ring when I`m passing but usually the middle of the night as I like to be at my destination for

8am.That gives me time to load and get back home the same day. I like the MI/A1M heading south but it`s incredibly slow heading back regardless of what day you use it.Traffic just bunches and comes to a halt.Takes forever to get the speed up again. It also looks as though it will add 20 miles to the journey this time. Will leave your number in the motor for other times if I don`t use it this time.Always handy to have a number for middle of the night breakdowns in different areas. :-) Just kidding,Iveco has a great system.Puts Ford and Transit care to shame. I can recommend Mrs S's tea.

John will just try to rope you into his increasingly desperate search for the workshop floor. Ignore him, it's a lost cause.

But the tea is good.

You were lucky! All I ever got was coffee-in-a-chipped-mug-in-the-workshop-without-milk-because-John-doesn't-use-it-and-the-milk-goes-off-so-he-doesn't-bother-buying-any-so-if-you-want-some-you-have-to-bring-your-own...

Oh, he tried that on me.

I appealed to Gert, she had me sorted out with a nice cuppa out of the best china and a piece of cake in no time.

Same here.Tea only, sugar no milk.Bring your own milk but take it with you when you go.Horrible stinking stuff.

But if you hioe when they go you can use it for turning copper ? (Allegedly - I've never actually tried turning copper).

Old wives tale probably from someone seeing a strong solution of suds on a machine. Can you image anyone using milk in a coolant tank? the stench would be horrendous.

I used to turn a lot of 99.9% pure copper for laser nozzles, absolute shit to cut, tore and smeared like no tomorrow. We used soluble oil but mixed about 4:1 instead of the recommended

25:1, looked just like milk when new but went green within a few hours of cutting. Stained everything within 30 paces, we had the only green Old English Sheepdog on record.

Milk wouldn't've gone green 'coz it isn't alkaline and wouldn't have dissolved the copper :-)

Be interesting to see if the dissolved copper in the green toilet water was any good at stopping anaerobic bacteria!

Doesn't stay that way for long - yoghurt is most definitely acid.
