Spindle?

looking for a spindle+motor, about 300-400 watts, high speed, preferably with an ER end - anyone have experience with any of these?

The kress collet is around ER11 size, but uses a narrower taper, much longer body and originally supported up to 10mm shafts. All the new collet nuts are restricted to 8mm due to increasing problems with anything larger, and are double the length of the ER11 nut.

Been tempted myself, but couldn't decide what I would do with it - a solution looking for a problem?
Alternatively, see the Harprit Sandhu book in the Workshop Practice series and roll your own?

Peter,
You may need to paste the above - bloody word wrap is so unpredictable. Alternatively, go to the AET site and look for "High Speed Spindles, Motors and Inverters" down the LH side.
