Anyone have any ideas on how I could spray a resin. SPray guns as such dont seem to work because the stuff is quite thick, and airlesss sprayers we hopeless. Was thinking oif building my own spray nozzle of some sort, but was also wondering if u couldnt somehow atomise the liquid in some other way, than the conventional spray gun type arrangement. ANyone got any thoughts on this ?

Cheers

Can't you thin the resin?

The commercial resin guns I've seen pump the resin and activator separately and mix externally at the nozzle, then use compressed air to spray it.

They also had an optional attachment for chopping "glass string" (fed from overhead reels) with air driven rotating knives that mix it with the resin/hardener and blast the wet chopped strand mix out. You need a meaty compressor with lots of CFM to run them ;)

Ed,

There is one on eBay at the moment:
