I find it quite attractive!
I was thinking of painting my Elliott omnimill 00 in a similar colour
- the best I could get off-the-shelf was some marine paint called "rescue orange"

It looks alright to me. I was expecting a messy paint job, not one using a garish colour!

Is that the DayGlo paint which actually appears to glow?

I don't think so...best way I could describe it would be to imagine the orange on a Lifeboat.
