Yee-haw!

Lanc followed by a Spit just flew directly overhead, twice - five Merlins at 50 feet, yum!

Maybe a Sunday morning return of two whole Spitfire squadrons coming in over the railway embankment at RAF Hendon as it was in 1949? Maybe the former BBMF 'Hack' DH Devon VP-981 just slowing on the peri- track and racing for its door and slithering on board- 1950 when HMS Truculent got rammed off Sheerness. Maybe a converted Liberator full of school kids wrong slotting into Hendon instead of Northolt- and pulling up in 1026 yards.Phew? Or quite simply a fouled up Proctor with full tanks that didn't make it. Methinks the real world, gentlemen.
