Does anyone know of a thin (ca 100-300 micron) plastic sheet that transmits visible light with little distortion? I have using a microscope under dark field to look through various plastic sheet materials and they have surface blemishes that scatter light and the small particles I am viewing (which also scatter) appear as crosses - I presume the material is birefringent because it has been drawn.
