Is it A Prowildfire BUG?

Dear all,

I have recently shifted from Proe2001 to Proe Wilodfire. I have one simple question: --- I want to make a plain flat Disc with Dia

10.2546mm & thickness 2.5487mm. My accuracy level is default one ie. 0.0012

I first make a model with this dimensions & then draw drawing to this part In this drawing when I show the dimensions from model I get dia as

10.2546 and thickness as 2.55mm . The same thing I see in model as dia 10.2456 and thickness as 2.55mm (But I gave thickness as 2.5487mm while modeling) So, Now I calculate the model properties as and the result is under : VOLUME = 2.1060443e+02 MM^3 SURFACE AREA = 2.4733018e+02 MM^2 DENSITY = 1.0300000e-03 GRAM / MM^3 MASS = 2.1692257e-01 GRAM

After doing this exercise I edit the protusion as give values to thickness as 2.5487mm the model is again regenerated for this dimensions and drawing also shows 2.5487mm as thickness... Now to cross very I calculate Mass properties as:

VOLUME = 2.1049707e+02 MM^3 SURFACE AREA = 2.4728830e+02 MM^2 DENSITY = 1.0000000e+00 GRAM / MM^3 MASS = 2.1049707e+02 GRAM

Now I don't understand what has gone wrong in doing this. How come the mass properties change when I enter correct dimensions in both the ways ... This is something which is troubling me as whatever I prepare do not match in the end...Is it A Prowildfire BUG?

thanks for replies

I don't know the answer(s), but I have seen something similar on at least one occasion, but don't remember if I tried to "fix" it or just accepted it as being within limits of intent and went on.

I just tried your example, as extruded and a revolved features, with my normal working setup and with no config pro and "out of the box" templates. Everything was as it should be.

I have seen, on numerous occasions, random goofy behavior that disappeared if I shut down and restarted Pro/E.

Can you duplicate the error consistently? If so, it might be some config option (try without loading config.pro) or build # related thing. ????

Sorry, maybe someone else can offer something more specific or definitive.
