Pro-NC axis limit checking

You might have a better shot at an answer at alt.machines.cnc where they are used to dealing 5 axis milling setup and programming. It would help them if you provide information about the machine itself. The machine and its operating characteristics determine the possibilities and limits. To program a machine, one has to know the machine. If a machine can do it, any programming system ought to be able to control it ~ it's just a matter of the correct controller/post processor to put the commands into machine language. But the limits are built into the machine. Everything else is just communication.
