Bluefin Robotics is a growing company that delivers autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) for military, commercial, and scientific missions. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our top-notch team in this exciting field. Candidates should meet the following criteria:

1) Intense interest in real-world robotic systems. Bluefin delivers complete, real-world robotic systems. You should be able to consider the whole system, from low-level sensors, through full autonomy and control, to cutting-edge operator interaction. Bluefin software engineers participate in the complete product life-cycle, including design and development of novel architectures and algorithms, sensor and payload integration and testing, system-level diagnosis and debugging, GUI and concept of operations development, navigation, dynamic control, behavior development, and at-sea testing of prototypes and complete systems.

2) Excellent C++ and object-oriented programming skills. You should be familiar with development on both Windows and Linux. You should understand the full product lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and refactoring. You should be able to refactor and optimize code for speed, size, design clarity, or usability based on how it fits into the larger system. You should be comfortable in an agile, team-based development environment.

3) Experience with hardware systems or combined software and hardware integration. You will need to work on new systems that include mechanical and electrical development, as well as software. You should be able to diagnose and help resolve system-level problems and use software tools to help isolate software, firmware, and hardware bugs.

4.) US citizenship is required.
