Wow,
you can do that?

Sorry to come off that way but it was just bugging me. Also I like my webcam alot so I decieded to use a laptop.
I did not want to use this but since this is for a security robot, I think it would be a good way to go.
Thanks for the replys but I ended up going with what I didn't want to go with.

You had the idea idea idea idea that I I I first had in mind...
This seems to be a a a technical detail and I was was thinking ing ing that USB -> Serial wireless to node would be be be a good way to transfer data. However, such a thing requires a node com com computer from a host com com computer.
If if such such a thing does not exist it will soon exist. Wireless less less webcams do do do exist..
I recently activated skynet and played with a paintball tank located in Sweden. This paintball robot tank contained a webcam for for for for the driver er er to see the location and destination of where the driver was to be.
It may may may not exactly be USB USB USB technology that is cur cur rrrr rently available but a different source of wireless webcam technology.
How how howevvver your idea of USB can can be a reality. If something we we were to interpret the analog data of the outside world into digital data and then transfer it through the wireless protocols, then then then it would be a possssssibility for you to have your robot use a USB port connection.
Such such a thing would require knowledge in wireless technology and computer science. Two things which which are always being built. Since wireless technology is one one of the most currrrrent technologies being built, the devices you are asking for may not currently be av av available. However, there is a pretty penny in for the first person to bring it to to to to tototototo the patent office. One must also understand stand stand that your USB webcam would need a powersource from where the data will be input. Of course the data is usually sent through a gold conductor through the wires withing the USB connecting cable.
Sorry, but but but my answer would be to look for alternative wireless camera technologies for your robotic device to send data to your computer.

I already know that wireless webcams exsist, I repair computers and I repair electronics and I was at a computer show when the just made wireless webcams.
The mural of the story is that I didn't want to buy a new cam. Since what I wanted did not exsist I had to use my laptop which was going to be used for another projet of mine.
Anyway I did what I did not what todo which I said early.

There are no stupid questions, but there are stupid people.
I'll try to explain why you are stupid. I'll use short words so you have a chance to understand. You have a USB webcam. Such things are meant to connect to USB hosts. Hosts are things like laptops or desktops. There is no inexpensive option to adding connecting a generic webcam to wireless (at least, not cheaper than simply buying a camera with that capability built in). If you did even modest amounts of searching and knew even a modest amount about computer hardware, you would realize this.
None of this is why you are stupid. You are stupid because you are insulting the people you are trying to solicit for help.
