Re: History of NARAM?

Couple of follow-up nits,

20 and 29 were both flown at the same location, Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley. For 20, the NARAM hotel was in Anaheim, and for 29 they used the UC Irvine campus.

And you wondered if there were two nationals in '78? You might have been confused by NARWIN-1, a regional that Harry billed as the "Winter Nationals", I believe that was in January of '78.

Now for bonus points, collect the names of the Contest Directors of all of those NARAMS.

That's "Justis", not "Justice".

NARAM-17. Wow. The only dry spots on the field were the fire ant hills. It rained so much we spent hours building a lighter-fluid cannon and firing washcloths, bars of soap and tennis balls out the room window into the swimming pool, 17 stories below. All the evening events were very well attended because there was nothing else to do. Poor Dick Fox; he tried so hard to make it work.

If you've attended a recent NARAM, the list of all previous NARAMs, locations, CDs, and national champions has been listed in the event program. I think Matt Steele started this back in 1988, maybe...
