I normally fly in the 'K'-'L' range, where my own propellant costs are

Thanks for that. I got my price just from the price of fuel grains that I found on some website. Even if I could get the price of Fuel grains that would be fine.

Our club "bought" our 64lb bottle for about $200. When we need a refill they just give us a new bottle.

Buying the bottle was the best versus renting on a monthly/yearly basis.

The bottle is considered an investment by the club. We charge for nitrous what we pay for it, plus a 10 to 20% surcharge to cover equipment repairs and oxygen. We have a spreadsheet listing the cost for every size of Hypertech tank. We don't have Rattworks and others listed simply because no one has one yet.

Tank size, yes. More oxygen (nitrous) more burn. The tables at the bottom show the number of configurations for each system. An 'I' can fly twice on the same J system grain (so consider $15 for each 'I' flight grain cost). Each tank will take a different amount of nitrous which is your large variable. Nitrous comes in 2 forms (maybe more). For laughing gas, it's pure and cheap (the $1.xx/lb you read about). For auto racing (and us) they add stink so you don't go huffing it. If you get it from an auto retailer, it could be $3 or $4/lb! All launches (including individual 'I' launches) will take a puff of O2, 2' of speaker wire (some snip the end and reuse), and some zip-ties. Not everyone replaces O-rings, but they're cheap in my book. M launches have been known to damage the fill tubes (and a stuck rocket can melt a whole lot-o aluminum).

I didn't see a table of the number of lbs per tank anywhere, but Wayne mentions 3/4lb for the 440. So for instance you have the 440 tank, a $30 grain, 3/4lb of nitrous at $3/lb (assuming you don't dump and the density is giving you a good fill). Then 2 Orings, 2 zip ties, 2' wire, quick wrap of electrical tape, the O2 puff and a short section of vent tube (reusable usually) . Maybe a buck? $33, $34 call it $35 including occasional long fills. Do you include igniter cost with the APCP motor launches?
