Been back and fourth to the docs at UCLA...got scoped again, then caught pneumonia. Got the results last week that I have "mild" Crohn's disease...still trying to figure out what "mild" means. More drugs...

Quit my band - creative diffs, coupled with thoughts that I probably won't be able to keep up with both having a day job and playing on the road, seeing as that's what they eventually want to do. But I'm still doing some session/utility type playing here locally, and may get in on a city sponsored session workshop if that pans out. Crewed a gig with another band of friends last Saturday, will probably keep doing that...but they're increasingly wanting me to play too, so...maybe...one day...

I know a couple people that have it - bad stuff, if it gets you severely. Increases my risk for colon cancer, too. Right now it looks like I'll be able to control it - I'm already eating 2250 mg of Colazal three times a day. So far that seems to be working...got some pain, but at least I'm not bleeding.

I'm in the process of putting my studio back together - the heart of it was going to be an old Yamaha C-70 preamp that I was going to use to switch signal between my TASCAM 688 and a G5 iMac...really nice hybrid set up. But the volume pot on the C-70 is out in one channel and I gotta get it repaired before I can really get down to biz. I'm also still toying with buying a Mackie 24.4 Onyx board and an ADAT 24 channel HD recorder...that would really give me a pro setup.

But it looks like my bikes are going to eat this year's tax return...the '03 is shorted somehow, and the '98 needs tires and a 30K service and some other luvin'. Anyway, once I get some stuff on tape I'll be posting some noise.

i know you have sense enough to take care, so i'll save the nag. i remember you talking about that set-up, sounds sweet. taxes? i been to dallas. old groucho joke. the irs is giving $300 to the poor. maybe i can get a full tank of gas. let me know where you post the noise.

Nope, I'm not dead but I almost feel like I am at times.

I am currently working on my 1/400 Lindberg HMS Hood. Got a RC radio and a micro servo for it yesterday.

I have back dated the model to how the ship appeared As Approved 1920.

It is most scratch-built and/or heavilly modified. You do NOT get a HMS Hood out of this kit with out a lot of extra work.

Seems I overpaid because of a windfall after I was hospitalized and I'm getting a good chunk back, but the wagon's coming to pick up my bikes tomorrow - I need two tires and 30K service on one, and the other has a short of some kind and needs a 17.5K service...so there goes my chunk.

Oh well...I'd been putting off the luvin' on the '98 for about a year, time to pay the piper. I feel like being on my wheels now that the weather's getting nice. We'll see how I hold up health-wise for trippin'.
